Our Love Story

A Love Story Meant to Be

It all began with an innocent dance at Soca Verses Reggae years ago. Nothing too serious—just two people enjoying the vibes of the music. We exchanged numbers and began talking daily, getting to know one another. But life has its own timing, and back then, it wasn’t our moment. We drifted apart and went our separate ways.

Seven years later, out of the blue, Tracy received an unexpected text from Ray that simply read, “Hey, how are you?” Surprised, she immediately turned to her girls, asking, “What should I say?” Their advice was unanimous: “Message him back and see where it goes!” So, she did.

That one reply reignited something special. We spent hours talking on the phone every night, sharing stories, laughs, and dreams. (Though Tracy often jokes that Ray could talk her ear off!) Things clicked, and soon after, we planned a birthday trip together to Florida.

Our first official date was at SeaWorld. We laughed, watched the Shamu show, and took it all in. When the show ended, we lingered in the stands, soaking up the moment. That’s when Ray looked at Tracy and said, “I love you.” Her heart melted, and from that moment, we knew we were meant for each other.

From then on, we were inseparable. But like any great love story, ours wasn’t without its challenges. We’ve faced our share of trials, but our deep connection and love made our bond stronger than ever.

Little did Tracy know, Ray had something planned—a surprise proposal. He arranged a last-minute trip to Fort Lauderdale, insisting they deliver some boating equipment before heading to Orlando the next day. Tracy was skeptical (“Who takes a random trip to Fort Lauderdale?”), but she went along. To her surprise, they had the best time and didn’t want to leave.

The next day, they set off on the three-and-a-half-hour drive to Orlando. Exhausted by the time they arrived, they decided to visit Magic Kingdom for the big moment. But the GPS had other plans, leading them to the wrong entrance multiple times. Frustrated, they abandoned the idea and opted for a quiet dinner instead.

During dinner, Tracy began feeling unwell, so they returned to the hotel to rest before flying home. The proposal plans in Orlando had fallen apart.

Once home, still tired, Ray surprised Tracy by insisting they go out to dinner that evening. Reluctantly, she agreed. They enjoyed a wonderful meal at 1609, and afterward, Ray suggested a walk along the Princess Marina to “walk off the food.”

As they reached the end of the marina, Tracy was ready to turn back. But Ray grabbed her hand, stopping her in her tracks. Looking into her eyes, he said, “You know that I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Then, he got down on one knee and asked, “Will you marry me?”

Tracy was stunned, overwhelmed with joy, and said “YES!!”

And now, history is being made. See you all in MEXICO to celebrate the beginning of our forever.
